Quick and Easy Wasabi Delight

Tonight’s dinner was amazing!

First, I had a pack of Marc Angelo pork meatballs in the freezer.  My mom had given them to me and boy, they are really good!  So I popped them in the oven (on a tinfoil pan with nothing on them) and cooked them.

Next, I got sticky rice noodles (could easily use rice too, but I love these noodles for a unique dinner).  I also cooked green beans and snap peas and bean sprouts (you can use any veggies you want, carrots and broccoli are also great!).

After everything was cooked I just used our AMAZING Ginger Wasabi Teriyaki Marinade Sauce and just tossed it together with the sauce.

It was delicious!  And incredibly easy and quick.

*note, the picture is Sunset Gourmet’s website picture for the product mentioned and not of my actual dinner … close though :)

Beer Bread

Let me tell you about our Beer Bread.  We have two, a Harvest Beer Bread and a Multigrain Beer Bread.  The Harvest is a little more sweet and the Multigrain has the “grainy” texture to it, but other than that, they are pretty much the same.

They. Are. Amazing.

I don’t even like bread that much.  I am a sweets person, not a carb person.  I like a sandwich here and there and potatos sometimes too but never really crave those items.

But this bread is a league of it’s own!

It’s so simple to make.  You preheat oven.  Then grease a bread pan.  Next, open a package, pour into a bowl along with 1 beer (or any carbonated beverage).  Stir for 30 seconds, pour into pan.  Next, take butter, melt it in microwave, pour on top of the bread dough and pop into oven for 55 minutes.

You are sure to say, “Wow” when it’s done!

It’s great just served with soup for a quick and easy meal but there are a ton of uses for it.  Use it as a pizza dough and create dinner or a quick appetizer.  Use a sweet pop instead of beer and add cranberries and almonds.  Last night, I added cheddar cheese and our Oh So Onion.  WOW!! Big hit with the family.

So try some!  You won’t regret it.

Chai Tea Mix

I love Sunset Gourmet’s Chai Tea Mix.  In fact, it’s probably my favourite product.  I had never had Chai prior to becoming a consultant and after my first cup back in December of 2009, I have probably now consumed 250+ cups.

I don’t drink coffee so this is my morning caffeine fix.  It’s warm, it’s comforting, it’s amazing.

Our Chai Mix is not like a lot of Chai.  I have tried Chai Tea Lattes from a few coffee shops now and I like Sunset Gourmet best.  Bias?  Perhaps.  This chai is a creamier chai.  Not so strong tea-tasting chai.

And you can do much more then just make Chai Tea with our mix!  You can make a great fruit dip (especially for apples) by mixing equal parts of yogurt and cool whip.  You can melt butter and saute apples and then add Chai and pour over ice cream.  You can add in a coffee cake or vanilla cake mix.  You can mix with just cool whip and top your apple or pumpkin pies.

Oh Chai, how I love you so.

Chocolate Microwave Fudge

I must say, I’ve never been too much of a fudge person.  Very odd for someone who is a HUGE chocolate person.  The very first Sunset Gourmet product I ever bought (and one of the first that I tried) was our Microwave Fudge.  I was doing a craft fair with my old direct sales business and across from me was Sunset Gourmet.  A very new company at the time (had only been in BC for a matter of months at that point) the booth was directly across from me.  I tried the fudge and it was amazing!  I bought a box.

Now I am a Sunset Gourmet rep and that fudge is still a hit.  With everyone.  Kids love it when we put marshmallows in it.  I love adding a scoop of peanut butter!  Adding our Old Fashioned Caramel Sauce is also a hit.  At Christmas, I love putting chunks of candy cane in it!  So easy to get creative with this product.

And so easy to make!  Let me tell you … You take the mix package, dump into microwave bowl, add butter and milk and vanilla (although vanilla is optional … you could also substitute it for another flavour like hazelnut extract!).   Then, put it on for 3 minutes or so and take it out, give it a stir, pour into greased container and into the fridge it goes!

You can also add a little extra milk and make a quick and easy fondue!  Or, use the fudge mix as an icing!  I did for my son’s 8th birthday and it was a huge hit.

Another bonus – this product is all natural.

Sunset Gourmet Opportunities!

The fall season is a very busy time of the year and I am looking for new team members and hostesses.

Could you use some extra money?  By working just 4 hours a week (and only 2 of those hours outside of your house) an average consultant earns $150 a week.

Of course you can earn more if you work more!  If you book 3 parties a week (that’s just 6 hours of work not in your home) you’ll earn $450 a week … OR $1800 a month!

And even better, YOU get to choose WHEN you work!

Plus, you have the opportunity to expand your business and earn even more.  And, you can earn bonuses like an incentive trip or diamond necklace.

If you’d like more information, email me.

Not interested in being your own boss?  How about just getting a few friends or family together for a fun taste-testing party.  You’ll get to sample about 60% of our products all while having a great time.  And you’ll also be rewarded with free products of your choice.  My average hostess gets $75 in free products of their choice.

Live outside of the Lower Mainland?  I do book parties too!  Ask me for more information.

Roast Dinner with Stuffed Potatos

Last night we had a “gourmet” type of night!  My son’s favorite dinner (mostly because of the yorkshire puddings that go with it).

First, in the morning I put the roast into the crock pot with 1 cup of apple juice, 1 cup of water and 1 tablespoon of Oh! So Garlic and 2 tablespoons of Oh! So Onion.  When that simmers all day it turns into a mouth watering fall-apart-in-your-mouth roast.

Then I stabbed 6 potatos and popped them in the oven at 350 degrees for 70 minutes.  I took them out, let them cool for about 10 minutes, cut in half and then scooped out the insides leaving a shell just half an inch thick.

I then mashed the insides with 2 tablepsoons of butter, 1/4 cup of cream cheese, 2 tablespoons of cream, half a package of Creamy Parmesan Artichoke Dip, 2 tablespoons of Spinach & Herb Mix and 2 tablespoons of parmesan cheese.  I mashed until it was mostly smooth and then scooped the insides back into the shells.  I topped with just a little grated cheddar cheese.

When it came time to prepare dinner I put the stuffed potatos in the oven at the same time as the yorkshire pudding (which needed the oven set to 425) and kept them in there for the 20 minutes.

The potatoes tasted amazing and had a “Spinach & Artichoke” dip taste to it.  It was my first time creating them this way and they were a big hit!
